As part of its Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), the City of Midland has awarded Home To Stay Housing Assistance Center (HTS) $24,000 for its home repair program. The HTS home repair program is designed to assist qualified, low-income city of Midland residents with necessary home repairs and accessibility modifications.
The City of Midland receives CDBG funds from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development on an annual basis with the goal of providing decent housing and suitable living environments. The CDBG program provides communities with funding to meet community needs while simultaneously meeting federally established objectives. “Community partners, like the City of Midland, allow Home To Stay to continue our work toward safe, stable housing for all," said Joe Coffey, Executive Director at Home To Stay. Midland Area Homes, Inc. d.b.a Home To Stay Housing Assistance Center has been awarded a grant in the total amount of $50,000 from The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation. The grant award was given to support the purchase of a new vehicle for the Home To Stay Furniture Redistribution program.
