Huntington Bank renews home repair gift

Home To Stay Housing Assistance Center has been awarded a gift in the total amount of $25,000 from The Huntington Foundation.  The award was given to support Home To Stay’s Home Repair program.

Home To Stay works towards its mission through the implementation of key programs like the Home Repair program, which aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of homes by helping to fund health- and safety-related repairs for seniors and income-eligible Midland County residents.  These repairs can include accessibility and bathroom modifications, windows repairs, furnace and hot water heater repairs, minor plumbing or electrical repairs, and roofing repairs. Another program at Home To Stay is the Homeless Prevention program which includes case management, rental assistance, advocacy, housing resource information and referrals.   A third critical support program is the Furniture Redistribution program, which recognizes that furniture needs can arise at any time.

“The Huntington Foundation supports efforts to help improve the quality of life for communities,” said Joe Coffey, Executive Director at Home To Stay.  “Community partners, like The Huntington Foundation, allow Home To Stay to continue our work toward safe, stable housing for all.  We are truly grateful,” Coffey added. ​
